Peugeot 206 servicing costs

    Hi,

Looking for a bit of guidance as a car ignoramus. Since taking a 50% pay cut after buying my car last year, it's been entirely neglected service wise. I check oil and stuff myself, but an overall service hasn't happened since I bought it. I brought it in for a pre-nct check today and the mechanic point out a couple of major things that needed fixing, including:

    CV joint replacement
Brakes (definitely pads, and possibly discs)
Full service (to clean some oil up and to get it through the upcoming NCT)

He has quoted me two prices on this, one is the garage price for which he works, and the other is a nixer price if I drop it to him another day. I am just looking for any ideas from people more in the know what these things should cost, and if it's near enough to what he's proposed I'll go with him. Also thinking of dropping it somewhere else for a free pre-nct for a second opinion.

    Any advice hugely appreciated.

    Thank you muchly!
    gemi
