Back Tax Query

    Hi Folks,

Just looking to clear this up. Suppose you bought a car today (May) and the tax was out since say February (So two full months of unpaid tax) When you go to tax the car, are you liable for the back tax? i.e If you tax for a year, you need to pay off the two 'unpaid' months as well?

And on the flip side, if you declared the car off the road in February, your not liable for the unpaid tax?

Just speaking in generalities as I could't get a concrete answer.

    Cheers!
