    Thanks Maudi.
This has happened before but it's beyond my control I'm afraid.
It's certainly not helpful in the current climate.
    I'll raise the issue again.

Please know that I would like to help. Unfortunately both my browser settings and Internet security suite settings block pop-up ads, so I cannot see them in the Archaeology forum.

How do they happen? Are they associated with new and/or old posters, or do they just happen when viewing the Archaeology forum? Please provide details.

I have Google Chrome & at the start I was seeing ad banners here & all over Youtube etc even having to watch an ad before a song would even play:(..

As far as I know the software reads these forums & grabs certain desirable words and matches the adverts to its perceived "audience "..

I recently installed some free software called Adblock Plus & Its brilliant has cleared up by browsing no more banner ads in the sides or tops of here or Ads on youtube vids either:cool:

    Id reccomend it to EVERYBODY:D

I'm not running Chrome. I use FF20 in combination with KIS2013 filters and see no pop-ups or banner ads.

Are these metal detector pop-up ads tied to some 1st post new members; e.g., you open a newly registered member post and a pop-up occurs?
