Trouser Suspenders

Hello fashion moguls

I have a question. Whatever happened to trouser suspenders? Why is nobody wearing them anymore? Is it acceptable to wear them? I am considering buying a suspender, but would people laugh?

Most people wear belts instead OP as they find them more comfortable.

Additionally most trousers don't come with the buttons required for braces on the inside of the waistband.

As a result you have lots of places doing clip on braces such as those linked above. I imagine they do the job all the same as proper braces but I would be concerned for the damage caused to the fabric by the clips. Also, trouser with belt loops and no belt going through them don't look as 'clean' to the eye in my opinion as a waistband with no loops and braces used.

Whatever you do however, don't be that guy (girl?) wearing a belt as well. It looks ridiculous and relegates the braces to a simple (and silly) fashion accessory. I'd equate it with having a shirt cuff where someone has used buttons and cufflinks simultaneously!
