Computer Science Degree >> HDip post graduate

    Hi im currently doing a 4 year game design degree but i want to change to computer science. What im wondering is:

    How or where can i get a HDip in Education thats near laois?

    Can i study for the HDip in my final year of my degree?

    The HDip is full time for the year, no time for doing a different degree. Soon the hDip will be changed to full time for 2 years instead so even less time.

    You can't apply for the HDip (PDE) unless you have a degree so you can't do it while doing your final year. That's why it's a post graduate qualification.

    The nearest place to you is probably Dublin, Maynooth or Limerick.

    If you have a degree in Computer Science/Game Design you will only more than likely qualified to teach IT in schools, that is if your degree is recognised by the Teaching Council in the first place. IT is not a Leaving Cert subject. You haven't a hope of getting a job without an exam subject.
