    Was tracking this as it was coming into Belfast Intl.
    Any idea what this is all about? :confused:
    That's quite a way to have to turn back!

    Would have to have been a non-urgent issue, e.g. something gone tech but not affecting flight. They'd easily have been able to put a 737 down on Greenland if it was an emergency situation, think Air Greenland operates some larger planes than that even.

    I was aboard an American TransAir flight many years ago from New York Kennedy to Dublin which turned back to Gander about three hours out of New York. The captain mentioned a medical emergency and it turned out that an old lady on board had had a heart attack...

    I suggest you have a look on FlightAware....that says its on time....and approaching the southwest tip of Iceland...

    Ignore flightradar24 it does that all the time. Sometimes it criss crosss the route too and fro aswel.
