    Hi everyone,

I have been offered a job and I start on Monday.
This job is pays on the last working day of every month(arrears).
I was wondering, will I have to go a whole month without being paid? Or two months?

Like, will I have to work all of June with no money AND all of July just to get paid for June? So basically will I get paid at the end of June or July? I don't think I can go two whole months without any money.. I don't know what I'm going to do.

    Cheers, guys!!

There is only one place you can get an answer this, the personel department of your place of work

In my experience, you will get your first payment at the end of June which will cover what you did this month and next. I would doubt that you would get your first payment at the end of July, that would be 2 months in arrears.

But as was said, the only guys who will know are your payroll guys.

Also, ensure to get your tax sorted. Get your employers tax number, ring Revenue, and give them your PPS number, and then give them your employers tax number. You do NOT want to be on emergency tax for the first month!

Few years back, I was starting new job on the second week of the month and I was told straight away, that I will get paid at the end of next month.
As I had not much in savings at the time I have simply asked employer if they can give me a 700euro cheque at the end of the same month, and then take these money off the next month salary, as I need to pay for room and buy food.
It was not a problem for them.
