My gran is having a clear out and came across a set of small copper pots.I said id throw them up on adverts.ie and get her a few bob as she is on her own now.So put them up for 25 plus 7.95 for courier if required and they are a lot more popular than i expected! Also have had people pming me about them too.So my problem is this- gran would be delighted with 25 euro but im now worried that they are worth a lot more than we thought and obviously i want to get as much as i can for her! any advice welcome

Oh lovely, I hadnt realised from the first pic the depth in them.

Yes, they are worth more than 25 euro. Have a look on ebay. If you cleaned them up they could be worth a couple of hundred.

You'd probably be better off asking specialist advice on how best to clean them. The copper and the handles will probably polish up easy enough using any metal cleaner but I dont know about the insides - maybe ask in an antique shop or even google it?

Copper pots are expensive on their own, but you have a matched set of 6 there - which will put the price up too. In your shoes Id get them cleaned up and valued before selling them.

Just to give you an idea - here is one on ebay, not in good condition, and its list price is 29.99 sterling - so thats about 35 euro.

Heres a cleaned up set of five with a buy it now price of 120 sterling.

So yeah, good money to be had!

Best of luck, a great find, if I had space myself Id make you an offer!

You can easily clean them yourself with a bit of brasso or something.

Getting them cleaned by a professional will cost you almost as much as they are worth.

    Yeah Im inclined to agree.

What are they lined with? Dont use any metal cleaner on the insides.

A lot depends on the weight, heavy professional grade copper pots in good nick with a tin lining could be 50 /100 euro each..... Something made to be decorative who knows ??
