Radio Installation Recommendation

Hi

My brother wants to replace the radio in his 02 Corolla and has seen one he likes on Halfords website.

I've heard they're not the best for value (and maybe quality of installation work?) so was wondering if anyone here has any recomendations? He lives in Dunshaughlin so Dublin 15/Navan/Ashbourne areas would be ideal

aldi have a car stereo this week for €60, built in bluetooth streaming which is a decent feature for the price. stream songs from your iphone/ipod through your car stereos bluetooth... very handy. not sure about sound quality

Yeah I've had aldi/lidl radio for years without any major issues.

Changing a stereo isn't very difficult so he can just get one he likes and install it himself. Some audio guy might do it for 20/30 euro if it's a quick job.

Halfords often have greatly deals on branded stereos. Its the adaptor plates and wiring adaptors they make a killing on.

I know CDs are old hat now, but that doesn't play them. For the money I'd rather have one that does.

Does not work anymore...on radios, BT kits etc
Only 10% off the rest now, sponges and all.

Bang goes that idea so. I wonder how often people actually use them I always forget the thing.

Actually thanks for that. Just checked the work group scheme and we get 10% off purchases so happy days (doesn't include sat nav or ipods)
