Touchscreen Monitor

Just wondering has anybody any experience with touchscreen monitors?

Been thinking about investing in something like that.
What is needed to run one with a pc?

I know Windows 8 is an OS that seems to be optimized for touch and thinking about it it would be nice when browsing, looking at media, listening to music etc to just be able to touch the screen rather than using a mouse, would be pretty sweet imo:)

But also is it possible at the moment to do this without losing the IPS picture quality when gaming?
Would not like to sacrifice gaming picture quality for it but if could have both that would be ideal.

So cheers for any advice or opinions, ive no idea about how this would work so again thanks for your help guys
