Hi just looking for some advice

Myself & partner have flights booked to Palma, Mallorca in late July with Aer Lingus.

About a month after flights were booked my partner became pregnant. By the time the flights come around she will be 6 months gone and the doctor has advised her not to fly...

So is their a way I can get any of the money back? I booked on a credit card & somebody told me because I booked on credit card I should get most of it back...

    Can anyone help with info?

You can get your taxes back, that's it.

Is their any way if we have travel insurance that would help?

If you have travel insurance then read the policy, this is what travel insurance is for! Some credit cards have rudimentary travel insurance policies for services booked with their card.

Sell it to someone and they can change the names on the tickets. You will probably get more than you would taxes

Cancellation cover within travel insurance normally only covers cancellation caused by death or serious illness involving either one of the proposed travellers or a close relative (within stated boundaries) of the policyholder. I very much doubt that pregnancy is covered.

It is a medical condition that prevents travel, albeit a self induced one. Depends on the policy, I imagine.

    Try Adverts.ie or DoneDeal.
Adverts.ie is free to post an ad but you have to pay on DoneDeal!
Just find out how much it will be to change the name and put it in the ad.
Charge around 55-75% of what you paid for the tickets.

    this ^^

if the reason for not flying is because of a medical condition (regardless of the condition being one caused by complications due to pregnancy) there is a good chance you would be covered by insurance.

If however, you would just rather not fly due to being pregnant, this wouldn't be covered as medically, unless told otherwise, you can fly on short haul flights up to 36 weeks gestation.
