Social Welfare

Hi,

I just finished college, I am looking for a job at the moment. I would like to know if it would be possible for me to get the social welfare until I get a job.

I worked two years part time in McDonalds during my studies in order to pay my rent and food ( I live alone) but I quit 2 months ago to focus on my final exams.

I don't really want to get the dole but my saving are going to be unsufficiant soon if I don't get a job anytime soon.

if not apply for this http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/social_welfare/social_welfare_payments/unemployed_people/jobseekers_allowance.html
You need to go into your local office asap,don't wait till your savings are gone.

thanks for the fast reply. what document will I need -p45; PPS- anything else needed to go there?

hey I'm in the same position as you. You also need a letter from your college which shows that you have finished your course. It is finished from the last exam date.
