Anyone know how long it takes for the blood testing for BVD to come back? Uncle had the vet around last week to test 2 calves and their mothers. Do they text out the results or will he have to check online with the ICBF?

Only ever had 1 blood tested. Vet sent off sample and the result came back to her after 3 or 4 days. No text message, no info about test on ICBF.

how do you know if its passed of failed? He is looking to either sell them as cow with calf or to cull them. If they pass he may even want to put them back into the main herd again.

It was before the compulsory testing.

    Vet called with the result.

he did, these calves failed the retest but the BVD scores where quite a bit different to the 1st test result, thats why he wanted them blood tested.
