PS3 Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare - unwanted unlock!

    Hi,

    I bought CoD 4 only recently for the PS3, still getting to grips with it. My question is, I was only playing the game a few days when I seemed to have unlocked all the guns, etc. My rank suddenly became LV55 Commander and my XP is over 125000.

    Does anyone know what's going on here? I thought I accidentally pressed some buttons that enabled some cheat, but could it be something to do with the fact that both my PS3 and CoD game are second hand? (Console and game bought separately, so wouldn't be same owner for both).

    Grateful for any help, as I don't know what the hell is going on. I'm pretty crap at the game, haven't even completed the single player mode yet. I've been playing a lot of multiplayer lately and obviously I don't want to appear better than I really am, so I'd prefer not to have everything unlocked!

    Hackers in one of the games you joined,can't do anything about it

    Problems of a 6 year old game the dev's don't care about.

    Yeah, I can see why it might be appealing to have impressive stats and to get all the unlocks but I wanted to work through it.

    Hackers, yeah that makes sense then.

    I guess I could create a new profile. But the same thing will probably happen again.
