    Hi,

I hope this is the right location - and if not, mods please move to the appropriate location. I know absolutely nothing about antiques.

I have (legally!!) come into possession of a Silver Tea Set. I think its Silver and not EPNS (Silver stamps on bottom).

Where could I go, in Limerick, to have this valued. And approximately how much would it cost please?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Well you're going to have a few people try swindle you out of a few bob if you are not careful.

Why is somebody sending you a PM ........ lets see a photo and I will give you an honest opinion.

If the marks are on the base then it may be early and of real value.
Later silver marks are to the left of the handle mid-body.

A dealer will try to get it for the lowest price possible - that's their job.
if you walk into a dealer and tell him you know nothing about it ......you will get turned over.

Post a pic and I'll help you out.
I have no interest in buying it.
