Student grant 13/14 question

I made an account on SUSI last year for a grant and submitted it, but never actually sent in documents or received a grant of any sort because I didn't go to college.

Applying online now, am I right in saying that I should create a new account, rather than using my old one as it's for 12/13?

    I don't know

    I would suggest asking SUSI through one of the following;

    1. Ring the helpdesk
    2. Contact them through facebook or twitter
    3. Send the account here Susi : Reps a private message

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Sorry to resurrect this, but I'm just wondering did you find out what to do because I'm in the same situation at the moment... it won't let me register my email because it's already in the system...

    Sorry for the thread hi-jack.
How do I go about getting the grant for the year 13/14?. I have already received my grant for 12/13 and I am not changing course

Hey, this is the email I got back from them.
Hope it helps you too. :) ::

    Dear *******

    Thank you for your e-mail.

If you weren't actually awarded by us before, you would need to make a new application. You should be able to log in to your old account and make an application for this year.

If you wish, you can register an entirely new account with us. To do so you just need to use a different e-mail address.

Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me again or alternatively you can call the SUSI Helpline on 0761 087874 and one of my colleagues will be able to advise you further.

    Kind regards,

    SUSI Support Desk

Oh thanks! I emailed them myself and I got this back

"You will need to create a whole new SuSi student grant application for the 2013/2014 academic year. You will have to use a different e-mail address this year to avoid any confusion in the future when your application is being processed.

I hope this information helps. Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me."

Off to go fill it all out again :/
