Fiesta wing mirror

I have an 01 fiesta and the wing mirror is now hanging by the wires. I tried pushing it back in but cant get it to go back in, is there a way of pushing it back in or is it broken?

Sounds like the assembly has broken away from the door?
Compare to the other side and see how that is set up.
You can probably find a cheap replacement at a local breakers or start looking on donedeal/adverts.ie/partfinder/traynors/etc for cars breaking of the same model and hopefully you'll find a replacement.

Or are you talking about the glass hanging out and the assembly is fine?
