I am looking into fitting my pc with one of these. If all I need is for it to be able to record from Youtube would the cheapest ones be adequate? (I would not be using it for playback ). thanks

Why are you recording from YouTube?

You could just rip the audio from the flash file with the likes of KeepVid.com and QuickTime. The quality will be utter rubbish no matter how you source the audio.
