So I'm thinking of heading out to a nightclub on Wednesday and was wondering whether because if it was a weekday that'd it'd be dead? or if anyone had any suggestions of where's good on a Wednesday that'd be great!

There are plenty of busy places on a Wednesday.

as well as those mentioned, lost society, Madison, and rira will be busy.

also, plenty of places in temple bar, Fitzsimons, madonnas, sahara etc

Then depending on what gigs are on, places like whelans, the village, lost society etc will be busy.

    have a look at www.sweebe.com www.entertainment.ie www.lecool.com

for the particular Wednesday you are going out.

Madison is a high age limit afaik. Best bet for midweek is Harcourt St, few colleges finish there exams this week too so town will be jammed.
