I've recently been made redundant (march 2013) I've claimed tax back for this year. What I'm trying to find out is it possible to claim tax back from previous years. I've found it difficult to find information on this matter.
    My thanks in advance

If you've paid tax and have been employed the previous three tax years, then AFAIK, you don't get that back.

    Have you contacted Revenue?

The reason you are finding it difficult to find any information on it is because it doesn't exist, but the question still gets asked constantly.

Refunds of tax from prior years are not based on you becoming unemployed in this tax year. Refunds of PAYE are usually based on three things: claiming for additional tax credits/reliefs, claiming back emergency tax, or refunds based on having multiple employments where for whatever reason you were overtaxed.
