Alright, so basically I'm planning for summer. Want to make it a good one, since it's after the leaving cert, etc.

So, if this was your last summer ever, and you were not able to travel outside of Ireland, what would you be sure to do?

I only have a few things on the list so far.
    Eg:
    rainbowrun.ie
    jumpzone.ie
    Electric Picnic
    Indiependence
    Cliffs of Moher
    Maybe Surf Sessions in Bundoran.
    Sky diving

How about some hiking? Perhaps sign up for some of the challenge walks in your area.

Knowing that I had so little time left, I'd probably try heroin.

Visit Inis Mór, it's beautiful :) I'd probably use my free time to learn another instrument or language or do some free course like social psychology on coursera.org, but that's just me :P

EDIT: Then go busking with your new instrument :D

Travel around, visit each county and try to meet as many of the real decent Irish people that still exist in this sorry mess we call home.

I really want to go to electric picnic. I want Bjork to sit on my face :(
OP you should definitely do the bus tours in Dublin. The Ghost Bus Tour especially. Mad craic to be had there and you can take the piss out of the Americans.

    Last summer ever?

Well, seen as this is Ireland, it's just really the last few months of your life, summer doesn't really come into it, as we never bloody get one.

Do we die when the summer September arrives or what.

We need specifics. This is a very serious question you're asking here.

You will be working a dead end job with very little money or free time for the rest of your life after the summer.

Well, on a day like today, I would say get your mates round and have a blow-out BBQ! If you're just doing your LC, there's a good chance that you may not see as much of them after the summer.

If I had a nice bit of cash I'd like spend the summer starting in Cape Clear Island and hike the whole west coast of Ireland up to Donegal, I'd visit all islands on the west coast like the Arann islands, Skellig Michael, Achill and Valentia Island, bring a tent to camp and stay in hotels too for going out in towns.

Visit all the attractions on the west coast, I'd make a video diary too of all the people I met on the way and places I'd seen.

Think I'd spend the whole time crying so.

Always wanted to hire a speedboat for the day, so when not crying, I'd do that.

Or, alternatively, lock yourself away some place and invent something that'll make you a multi-millionaire.

Plan a bank heist. Lotta money to be made in bank heists these days... not too disrespectable either.

If I had a decent budget I'd probably do a lot of travelling.

I think I'd go on a week long, drug fueled bender at some point as well.

The cliffs of moher, which I visited recently for the first time because I'm heading to Canada, cost me 24 euro to park the car because there was 4 people in it, and we walked up for 10 minutes and left again. Load of bollocks

Summer of 1st year of college I had three and a half months with nothing to do and no money. Could sleep for an awful long time if U can get away with it, read a book to make you feel better, cycle out to remote places, climb.a tree, go exploring in a ditch, do some days filling in here and there, do a bit of gardening, use the internet, radio and library for magazines, books, cds and dvds, the odd meet up with a friend, coffee and cheap lunches out and about, the odd agricultural show, moderate use of alcohol, some video games, writing things.. Some mountain / country / woodland walks, follow a tv series, the odd local festival... Maybe some leisure centre and sports if U like... Lots of walking tho.. Not the best days but stuff U can rely on

See more of Sligo and Donegal
    Visit the Giant's causeway.
    Sea sessions
Love to learn to surf - keep threatening to do it.
Go to the Rory Gallagher festival
    Have a lot of sex
FINALLY buy a bloody MR2 but I knowing I won't have it for long I could stop being so damn fussy.
    Electric Picnic (doing this anyway!!)

surfing is a good one as long as you do not need glasses. sailing course would be a good idea too. Learning a musical instrument. if you are on a limited budget hiking along the dingle or kerry ways would be a good one. basically if you are stuck in Ireland try stuff you can do in the rain. you will have a great time.

Skellig Micheal is a good day out too the puffins let you get very close..

Scratch off Cliffs of Moher and go to Sliabh League instead. Scratch off Sea Sessions in Bundoran and do Rory Gallagher festival in Ballyshannon instead.

Heres a weekend all planned out for ya:
Climb Croagh Patrick, go drinking in Westport then do the greenway to seaway the next day.

Few of us are doing it next month. Sounds like a bitta craic if you're fairly active and on a tight-ish budget

I'd have to put some serious effort into getting off the National 'Do Not Fuck' List for a start. Then dos around the touristy areas for having 'de craic'. I would definitely take more risks, maybe bludgeon a few dodgy politicians to death on the last day.
