I have Just seen ewtn . Mr waters gave a testimony at sat mass.
I was a bit surprised as .The impression I got was from reading about him on another post about him . Was he was no fan of the Catholic Church.
Was I wrong to assume this .?

He's very 'popular' over on the Atheist forum.

Offhand, he is a occasional contributor to the "Irish Catholic" as an opinion writer.

Well, I think maybe you are, I don't think he is particularly 'hostile' at all really, he seems to me to be kind of couldn't care less and don't really get you, or indeed want to get you because I'm out there - and general opinionated guy who is wheeled out and not everybody ( including Catholics ) may quite 'get' him, even though I think he means well...I really do think he 'means well' - but not everybody will 'get' him.

I have read articles penned by him over the years, and some are so very articulate that it's hard to pin him down without doing him a terrible injustice - I like him.

I think he is just a guy with a pen and an opinion, and I think that's cool...'hostile' no, I don't think so. Perhaps a little hard to grasp on to - not exactly a Chesterton or Lewis where there was a 'common' sense, and a vocabulary to die for :D

I think he's a good guy, and rather harmless and at times he challenges the status quo and that's no mean feat - good on him.

No. He's a bit of a dick over there too.
