Planning A Cut

So planning on cutting soon and this was my initial plan.

Do HIIT until I burn 350kcals on the treadmill on each leg day (twice a week). To tag along to that I'll probably cut on 2000-2200kcals. Split that into 40p/30c/30f.

    Anyone got any thoughts?

Posted in another thread but got no response:(

You have just created new sex slang, excellent.

On a slightly more serious note, I have been using morning cardio to lean out over the last two months. The cardio is very low intensity wise and it hasn't had an negative impact on strength as i have actually hit a few pbs recently.

I have tried the HIIT method before but it made me feel like sh1t to be honest. Now it must be mentioned that I went from doing zero cardio to HIIT  so no surprise that I found it such a drain. I think cardio needs to be built up slowly.

I have also avoided cutting carbs. I have done this in the past and from my experience losing 6-8 pounds of water in 2 days isn't a great way to keep your strength up. I'm eating the same amount of carbs I just place them at different times of the day. So instead of having my usual pint of coco before bed nom nom I now cut that out and eat cake with tea a few minutes before I gym :D

your diet will do all the hard work for you.

id recommend intermittent fasting with fasted cardio in mornings. break the fast with fats and protein, carbs after training only. possible to lean out very quickly.

Jayoo- I can't get to the gym in the morning to do cardio unless I start running at home. And autocorrect created the new sex slang :pac: I'd be reasonably fit coming from a cycling background and GAA.

Paddy- I know my diet will be what will be the teller of it all. I can't intermittent fast because I need food both early and late to stop myself from starving :pac:

I'll give this a **** unless someone says otherwise.

My morning cardio has consisted of 3-4 hours of random activity. From searching for/feeding baby lambs to cleaning the windows of the house. For me this has just worked well. I'm prob not burning that many calories but I have never once felt drained from it in fact it usually puts me in a good mood for the day. But like you said you would be a lot fitter than me and your body might be able to handle HIIT while frequently gyming. I think it's all about being patient and finding something that works. Booked a cheap holiday for the 18th of June so that's my goal. So 30ish more days of leaning up and the below video should have me all set Ohhh yaaaa

Yea brother I think your looking to cut a bit early, your still lacking in size in your most recent vids. Id give it another 5kgs and then cut. For a lad your height that weight would sit v well on you

    Kinda related :

Boots have a sale on these blood glucose meters :

    http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Pharmaceuticals-Blood-Glucose-Monitoring-System_44687/

if you use a different test strip in them, it will show the level of ketones in your blood - way better than peeing on things

can you explain how it would work to measure ketones? ive ordinary ketone strips bought in boots, match up the colour type

Exact same as doing a blood glucose test if you were diabetic ( i have type 1 diabetes)

Put the test strip in the meter
A drop of blood from your fingertip and put it on the strip
10 seconds later it will give you a reading

I've put on about 12kilos since February but I think I'm gone too soft. I'd like to cut back, and go a tad slower putting on the weight.

fair paly, im in no position to offer an opinion on a cut but what i would say is your strenght is increasing with the added weight and you dont appear to be carrying much fat from the vid's iv seen. id see this as positive progress.
also, assuming your not entering a weight specific sport id say your a bit on the light looking side. like somebody said a few posts ago an extra 5kg would sit pretty well on you if you attain it as clean as the last 12kg.
