Interesting stuff in what would have gone on in there right up until the Nottingham factory closed in the early 1980's. Health and Safety hardly existed.

I wonder if these is an easy way to get red pinstripes painted on my Nelly Restoration project. :P

This is like porn to the fixie cycling, skinny jean wielding, retro chic, urban, trendy modern guy with the bike messenger bag for carrying marlboros, a diary and some emotions.

It shouldn't be much of a problem getting the bits. A crowd in Limerick sells complete "restoration kits". Must of these would come in from India and would be produced from the old Raleigh tooling just like the Micky Minor cars. I believe chrome and paint finishing has a lot to be desired.

It just needs two tyres and tubes, service of bearings, and proper paint job. In decent condition.
    Thanks again for clip

The average person today with a bicycle could not fix a puncture never mind fit a tire in 50 minutes. :p
