I did not think alloy rusted. The car wash does not get right in all way and i clean them with a cloth and water. In hard to reach places they dirt seems to be rust or something else ...

I bet it's a dust from brake pads.

Iron X is what you need.

Iwas thinking that too but i thought the black grime that comes off was brake dust.? It is only front wheels, the back wheels stay fairly clean

I have not heard of that but will google it. Does brake dust sort of solidify like rust?

    Edit understand now thanks guys

That's because front brakes work more than rear ones so make much more dust. Especially if they're drums at rear.

As said what you need is a de-ironise or fallout remover type product. You won't pick that up in a regular motor factors (id be extremely surprised if you did) or Halfords. Would be a specialist detailing product.

Iron X and Iron Cleanse are the best out there. Wolf's De-Con Gel isnt too bad. The rest Ive found to be below average.

Will do a good job cleaning off most of the brake dust, but you'll probably find that there will be lots of small black speckles in the corners of the spokes that wont shift. Thats hot brake particles embedded in the wheel. Thats what the de-ironise / fallout remover is for. If the wheels are really bad, they might need lots of attention or even be beyond putting right without a refurb.

This is a pic after cleanng with the simoniz. It says leave on for a minute and wash off or agitate with a wheel brush -which i did- then wash off

How bad is it? Would a de-ironise or fallout remover bring it back completely or does it need refurb

Those wheels look pretty bad. Not sure it would totally remove it, but certainly with a few coats it would vastly improve the appearance.
That actually looks like the calipers have rusted and transferred onto the wheels.
