Thought I'd set this post up for any tips and advice re: dealing with Migraines..

Old post, taken from migraines and meds...

"Hiya, I have just brought my 12 year old daughter home from hospital 3 days after she was admitted with a severe cluster migraine, 4 day duration, while this was not her 1st severe migraine, it was her 1st cluster, shes been suffering migraines simce she was 7... She has bee prescribed nasal Zomig and Zofran but they are not liscenced here and need to be brought from uk @200 euro a go??? Am interested to know where did you get your meds from?? And does anyone have any experience of this??
    Thanks " - medication didn't work :(

We are now home from or 3rd hospital stay in 5 weeks with a migraine that has been on going since Sunday last...
My poor daughter has had MRI, EEG, ECG, Bloods, Eye exam and all were clear, she's been sent home for the weekend still having horrific attacks, she is under the care of a neurologist who we will know be seeing privately as this is the only route to her without re-admission. My daughter is going to see her Tuesday to discuss options as there is not much more they can do in the hospital for her with the exception of a lumbar puncture which she may have next week...
Neurologist recommended so far acupuncture, relaxation techniques etc,.... Meds she has in kapake (v strong codine and paracetamol)which sometimes works.. not for more than 6 hours though..
Any advice tips recommendations hugely appreciated, we are so worried and she is in so much pain... Pls help:(
