Google Play Music issue

Is anyone else having problems with Google Play Music opening spontaneously? For the last few days it just keeps starting up by itself. Not actually playing any music, but showing up in my active applications. Sometimes it appears to become active when I open another app, but I've also gone to sleep with everything closed and woken to find it running. I haven't been able to find any way of stopping it. I'm on a Galaxy S2 running v4.1.2 unrooted.

Somebody else here already posted about this, seemingly its the caching system pulling stuff down while the phone is idle. Disable all local caching and it should stop.

Cheers. I did a search but couldn't find anything. I'll give that a go and hopefully it'll fix it.

Think it was the IO thread so you cant be blamed for missing it.

I tried to clear the cache for the app but it was greyed out, so I wasn't able to do anything there. I uninstalled updates and it's back to the factory setting for it now, so I'll see what happens.

This yoke is really bugging me now. I have "Cache during playback" and "Automatically cache" unselected, and I pressed "Clear cache" (although not much seems to happen) and the app is still running by itself. Anything else I should be doing?

I might end up having to do that, but I'd rather not if I an avoid it as I do use it occasionally.
