Going worm dosing some lambs. Product calls for a 1 ml dose, which is very small for my dosing gun. Can I take say 50 ml of product then add 450 ml of water, and then give a 10 ml dose of the watered down mix?

Not sure but I'd mix a small bit of cobalt through it, flexiben is a really small dose too,

I wouldn't, how can you be sure you're getting 9ml of water and 1ml of dose into each lamb, and not over or under dosing? You could dose them with a 10 ml disposable, though that wouldn't be best practice.

Maybe better off 'overdosing' as it says to dose at 0.5 ml per 25 kg, but dosing gun not really accurate below 5 ml , cobalt and selenium included in product , will have to check name of product but it is a white worker

If you have young helpers they are great on a job like that , just get a few 1 or 2 ml syringes and they will keep them filled for you

For anyone mixing selienium/cobalt with a white dose try mixing a small amount first as it may curdle the dose as I found out last year, never had any bother with cydectin though

Brought them in to dose and found about a third had orf! Not happy. Got some spray to do them tomorrow but after reading some older threads think I might use some wd 40 mixed with bluestone or maybe do nothing at all. Better not say anymore as the mention of orf seems to start trouble...
