Anyone play this Vita/PS3 Metroidvania game? Definitely my favourite game this year, challenging, great sense of identity, great soundtrack, great controls, looks good etc and its cheap.

As far as I know I got past the hardest part - the Jaguar boss fight - just there, took me like an hour of trying which considering how bad I am at gaming in general is pretty decent.

I got stuck hardcore on some normal puzzle-platform parts though.

I thought i was a platformer expert but god DAMN some sections are tough! Im playing on my Vita too, not sure if that makes a difference.

Tule tree and the Temple of War have some really tough parts!

I will prevail though.

Try collecting the mask pieces. There are some truly difficult parts there.

Burning Eclipse

Just started this today... Recently bought a PS Vita, and this is my only purchase for it (PS+ took care of the rest of my library). Lovely game... I'm itching to get back to it already! It's beautiful to look at, and I really love the pop-culture references.

Also, Cross-Buy is a fantastic idea.

Got this from the latest offering of PS+ titles. Really enjoying it so far. Some very tough parts (Tule Tree) but rewarding once you find a way to get past.

Co-op is a heap of fun too

I'm playing through this right now and loving it. The art style and animation is terrific, as is music.

The humour is hit and miss but humour in games is tough. The controls are really tight which is good considering some of the extremely tough platforming sections late on in the game.

Problem now for me is that I am stuck on the Jaguar Javier boss fight. I can barely touch him before I'm dead. I hope this isn't going to prevent me from seeing the end of the game.

Any tricks to beating him?

I actually just beat the boss I was stuck on. Now I'm backtracking to get more collectibles before going to the last temple.

Some of the jumping sections are very tough. There was one in particular that had you switching dimensions and dodging through the red thorns and mixing your special moves to make it across a large gap. Very tough.
