Hiya! We're Wilde Ida, a Galway City based Americana band playing originals and covers. We are 2 guitars (rhythm and lead) and 1 double bass and we're seeking a fiddle player to finish our sound. We're recording an EP soon (over the next month) and are looking ahead to playing festivals and pubs everywhere.

Please let us know if you're interested!

    Thanks!

So we've had some people ask us to define Americana a bit more, and we thought it might help here too-so here goes: American Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Roots, Old Time, Folk, Appalachian & Cajun. We know you're out there somewhere! Also, any a mando-banjo-dobro players? Ability to sing and harmonize a huge plus, and age and gender don't matter one whit!

We know you're out there somewhere! Dont play fiddle? Other possibilities are banjo, dobro and mandolin - as long as you can play any of the above with lead instrumentalist skill and can sing harmonies! :)

So we have a fab fiddle player now, but we still could use another, as she's not always available for all gigs! ALSO, still looking for that fabulous guitar/mandolin/banjo player! 5 string bluegrass, in the case of the banjo! Ability to play lead licks and also to harmonise a HUGE plus!

Okay, we're gonna keep trying! We're Wilde Ida - A Galway based, Americana/Bluegrass/Country band, looking for fiddle/5-string banjo/mandolin...musicians who know their way around a harmony line! We have some (rough) recordings available if you want a listen. Right now we're rehearsing covers and originals, looking to record an EP and Video this winter, and festivals next year.

    Anyone?
