Laguna Mk2 [no heat and how to set clock]

Alright lads. Bought an 03 Laguna the other day and the heater isn't throwing out much hot air. Someone told me to top up the Coolant but there seems to be no Max or Min marks on the tank. The tank is about half full at the mo.

Also, anyone got any idea on how to set the clock? Its flashing away but there doesn't seem to be any button to reset it.

I got no owners manual with the car!

    Much obliged.

For the heat - start by burping the car.

No heat inside can be airlock in the hoses.
Easiest way to burp is to park car facing uphill, drive around until you find a steep hill (air will burp faster this way).
Then remove cap on expansion tank (beware, hot steam will spray out. You can use a face towel and cover cap and tank so it doesn't spray in your face). Gloves are good too.

Then have ready mixed (50/50) anti-freeze and water (distilled if you can find it) in a two litre old milk jug or similar.
Remove the top bleed screw on the radiator (if one exist on your model).
While engine runs and heaters inside are on full blast and max heat, slowly pour the mix in until the coolant starts coming out through the bleed hole.
You may have to push the throttle a little to increase flow.
Also give the rad hoses a little squeeze (be careful as to not get caught by any moving belt!)
Once the mix coming out the bleed hole doesn't have bubbles you should be fine.
Replace bleed screw and the fill coolant to the designated limit.
    Replace expansion tank cap.
Make sure both are firmly in place, there is pressure in the system and if they aren't firmly on coolant will evaporate. Don't break them though.

Thanks for that mate. Appreciate it.

I wonder, however, if the tank might just be low in Coolant? There's no marks on my tank but its about half full.
You reckon I should fill her up?

A quick and easy google search showed up two differing types of clock,

one with two small recesses in the clock face that are used for setting it, the other says about using the steering wheel controls..

You'll need to determine which it is first i guess, and either use the recesses, or, from the link above:
Hi, with the radio switched off, use the source button closest to the steering column on the steering wheel control, press till hours flash then use vol up or down to adjust time, press source again till mins flash then again use vol up & down to adjust time, press source again to confirm.

Thanks mate, appreciate that. I did Google it but couldn't come up with it for some reason.

That'll do the trick. Thanks again Cheensbo.

As for the blower, is it temperature of the air you are unhappy about, or the "power" of the blowing air?

The temp pal. Its chucking out air no bother but it ain't hot.

I'm still not sure whether I should top up the coolant yet as I don't know whether there's enough already in it. Its about half full but there's no "Max/Min" marks on the tank.

Does anyone out there own a Laguna Mk2 and know how far up to fill the coolant? I haven't touched it since because I don't want to overfill it.

    Much appreciated Gents.
