    I really like Lee, I was disappointed to see how he lost to Chavez (who I think is on the juice - for that fight anyway) but Chavez had some added "extras" including the smallest regulation ring you can have.

    Anyway Lee won last night, here is a good write-up;

    As much as I think he is somewhat a flawed fighter (always gets into brawls) he does have a good chin and seems to have decent power. Hopefully he gets some big fights down the line.

    Anyone watch the fight?

    About time these level fighters started fighting each other. Add Murray and Macklin in there too.

    Sorry just saw this thread now. (Mods you can close the other thread)

    Well done to Andy ko in the first round last night.

    I know it wasn't against a top fighter but good to hear he's back active and winning.

    Here's a post fight interview

    Good interview. I wonder what the future holds for andy. Slightly worrying his trainer wasn't there. Even under steward andy seemed to be second to some fighters - when cotto fought miyorga, andy was fighting Craig mcewan I believe and Emmanuel was with cotto. I suppose that's understandable, bigger fighter bigger purse and all that.

    Still worry about lee sometimes he doesn't follow the game plan. Hopefully he gets another fight soonish

    Stayed up until 3.30 for this so was pretty pissed when it ended in one round lol. Wonder when he will cash out on a Macklin fight

    I dont think he will fight Macklin i think the most likely fight to happen that i want to see his Barker and tbh i would fancy Barker to take it because his strong point in my view is his engine while for Lee stamina has always been a massive problem

    Barker's engine is decent, but he has very little power, and isn't particularly busy. Lee may well be able to take anything Barker throws, and hurt Barker with his own power shots. Lee's problem is his stamina when the foe is strong and busy, and pushing the pace hard.

    Barker fighting Geale in August now so they won't be meeting next anyway.

    I think Macklin would bate the pair of them handy. Lee wouldn't be able to cope with Macklin's power and his doggedness. He may well land the cleaner shots on Matthew initially but he'd end up getting stopped in the later rounds.

    I've thought for a while that Quillin is Lee's best shot at a belt, maybe his only one. Quillin is similarly upright and robotic and I think it'd make for a good fight. Quillin is going to do anything he can to avoid Golovkin so if Andy beats Barker I think he might be in with a shout. Quillin-Lee in New York on Paddy's Day is an attractive fight.

    Bad news for Andy. Not sure what that leaves for him. Chavez Jr has been making sounds about Murray or Brian Vera, so maybe he'll get the odd man out there. Maybe DiBella can get him Quillin? Golden Boy don't have much at 160 and Lee might be seen as a decent option, a name but a moderate threat.

    I got the impression he was going to have another handy fight before looking for a big one. Barker is fighting Geale in August though, he's either going to be coming off a loss or be a world title holder, either way, not too sure if Lee will be on his radar at that stage.
