Hi, I don't know if I'm allowed mention other sites on here, but Irish Biker Forum has loads of girls on there, a few who are in the South East. Also on facebook "Girlie Bike Run" - is a yearly run for, obviously, girls - last year we had 28 ladies and absolutely great craic.

I know what you mean - I was on bikes for years before I joined IBF and hooked up with loads of like minded ladies. And to most of the lads you're a biker - the female bit doesn't count.

Hahaha, yes, we were all a bit reticent with suggestions. All the girls are lovely, and its the most relaxed spin you'll ever go on. I just haven't really got a clue of organising routes, etc. Tina & Anne Marie, and Serena usually organise it around the West, some fantastic roads that I'd never have seen in my life otherwise. I taught yoga to everyone on the beach in Sligo last year - it was really fabulous (for me anyway :D ), nothing like it to relax out your shoulders after a day on the bike.

Well done you for stepping up with a route. I really hope I'm able to go on it this year, my favourite run of the year ;)

...I bought my SO an SV650S last year, to get her back on the road after years off. She's complaining of no like-minded souls too.

Based in Co Galway - got any pointers I can give her /

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
