With something like that you only get really good by trying it. You've come on leaps and bounds since you started last year Harry - give it a go - you'll probably never get a better chance ...

(only problem is some of these paracyclists want to try road as well as track events;))

Also for anyone that's good enough, not only is there chance to race in different parts of the world, but there's funding available too.

Any idea how much time commitment is needed? If they need road pack-fill/training folk, I'd be kinda interested (but I'm *nowhere* near int'l racing level )

There are the Invacare Time Trial series events taking place this summer, they've had two already in Mayo and Athlone with more planned in Meath, Wicklow and I think Antrim. I couldn't take part as I've no pilot, which is a pain, so I'd say I'm not alone!

At the very least get in touch! It could allow someone keen to do Paracycling to actually take part and gain experience.

For the Invacare events your pilot can be male, or female.

I've nothing on my cycling cv but a farmers tan and a relatively large bulge in my cycling shorts..

Should probably join a club and get into racing, incredible opportunity I'm missing out on lol

Yeah, I had been cycling for around a year before I first had a chance to try cycling as a stoker on a tandem. Couldn't believe the power difference. The speeds you can get up to are pretty kick ass!

Would love to try it on a track/velodrome. Only experience was in Corkagh Park.
