I am looking for some advice on picking a plaster finish for a new house. I heard that the white sand, white cement, and lime plaster with knapp finish gives a clean white look and is less expensive than the K-rend polymer colour render. Does the sand, cement and lime have water resistant properties or does there need to be an extra additive applied to the mix. Any advice is very appreciated and links to picture examples of different types of plaster effects that you know of would be great.

Waterproofer should be added to the scratchcoat and finish coat.

As for the finish, the white sand, white cement, lime is a lovely white finish, and can save you a fortune compared to K-rend which is roughly €12/bag, with 1 bag doing 1 sq m approx.

See if i can dig out a few pictures of stuff we've done tomorrow. Bed first. :)
