Hi guys, first time poster on Boards.ie would normally be on anothe forum but thought i would try here for a bit of advice. Have a pet lamb here that lost her mother yesterday and would like to get it to suck the bottle. Doesnt seem to keen on it though! If i leave it a bucket with sum milk in it will it eventually get thirsty enough and drink it out of it or do you need to persist with the bottle? TIA

may take a day for it to catch on to bottle, they dont like the different taste of the milk, once he's hungry enough he'll fly it, have it nice and warm, usually helps

once he's used to that you could try bucket

Yeah we had a lamb here earlier that the OH put her hand up for at the mart but it was a bit older and it just worked away with the bucket, bucket is the handiest route!!

Was just wondering did any1 have any fail safe ways of getting them onto it, but looks like a bit more patience is required!!
