    Why are RTE 2 HD showing the first semi final in upscaled standard definition?
    Surely a HD feed is available.

    RTE need to bring mux 2 into service low bit rating on the eurovision and no dolby digital watching on einsfestival hd:(

    Not sure if its SD, as I don't have the equipment to check, but BBC 3 which is SD actually looks better.:rolleyes:
    Maybe RTE bought the el-cheapo SD Eurovision package, because they are showing the main event in SD anyway on Saturday on RTE1
