    From another thread.
To target my lats ive been doing lat pull downs. in actual face they are one of my preferred exercises.

would I be better switching to assisted chin ups? leading to full chin ups?

As a long term , Im not strong enough to lift myself in a chin up yet.

Are there other considerations to doing a lat PD vs chin ups?

Do you mean pull ups (Palms facing away) or chin ups (palms facing toward you)? Try doing assisted pull ups and concentrate on the negative.

Pull ups, bent over barbell rows and kroc rows(high rep dumbell rows 20+) are all great for lats.

A few things that Ive done that have meant I can finally see my lats from the front (which would've been a laughable thing to hope for back when I was at my skinniest)

-Do lots and lots of pull ups, assisted or otherwise, whatever gets it done
-Do lots of rows, start too light and try and make them cramp up, different rows work better than others for different people
-When doing pulldowns DONT put your thumbs around the bar, keep it the same side as your fingers, I dont know why but it works
