If you bang a door often enough,it can stress the hinges and screws and the door can literally come off.You take YEARS off the lifespan of a door by doing **** like that.

That's the thing the guys and girls are really sound that's why I was wondering if someone may know of reasons why.. Maybe brought up in old town houses so slamming doors wasn't a problem so never told off.. Or something else...

I haven't bothered asking them because I'm sick to death of confrontation while house sharing and it actually doesn't bother me that much just wondering why!!!!!!!?

I live in a terraced house and my neighbour and his buddies do this constantly. Why the hell do people need to keep the doors closed in every room He lives alone but has every door shut and when he has one of his frequent gatherings, he and his pals just go from room to room banging the doors shut. FFS, it isn't frigging Siberia. Banging internal doors should be a hanging offence imho. It would be wonderful to put his head between the door frame and the door then repeatedly slam the door on his neck, ah such a lovely day dream:)
