Kormoran tyres

I recently got a Kormoran tyre fitted onto my car.

I was told it's made my Michelin and was told it's a better choice than the next make that was €5 more expensive.

Are they not a great make??? :/

What are the differences between a Bridgestone and a Kormoran?

(As an aside, can a mod explain why posting a comment on an older thread on exactly the same topic isn't allowed? I'm just wondering)

    Grand budget tyre, can't complain

Info might be outdated/causes holes on the server

They are made by Michelin. I have used them before on a 2.0 Diesel Mondeo, they lasted well and gave good MPG.

Bridgestone are a different company, but to compare you would need to do like for like, tyre size, speed and load rating etc..

In my experience they represent one of the highest quality/price ratio.
Hardly anything better in that price range.

However I still prefer to pay extra for Bridgestones.

    Thanks for the replies.

I was given 4/5 options, and the ones that were €60 I was going to choose but was advised by mechanic to choose the Kormoran ones for €55 as they are better (supposedly). Can't remember the name of the ones that were €60. Bridgestone were €85. I didn't choose them as I didn't know HOW they are better and I don't really want expensive ones on my car. Neither do I want really cheap ones but will see how the Kormoran one goes.

Instead of starting a new thread, how can I find out what air pressure is meant to be in each of my tyres? I have NCT in a few days & want to make sure everything is in order. I didn't get a service as I replaced my engine recently so assuming everything is okay in that department.

There should be small sticker visible once you open driver's door. Can be actually on the door, or possibly on the car body. This sticker should show all info regards tyre pressure.
Otherwise check in your car manual.

How many miles did you travel since you changed the engine?

Thank you Cinio. I've travelled 4000km (I think, would have to double check) since it was changed.

Will look for sticker in car.
Looked in manual before but couldn't find it - didn't look too closely though.

    Thanks.

Sticker is sometimes also inside the fuel flap.
