I don't think there's a specific age cut-off point, it's more to do with your style.

I'm only 22 but I don't dress very young, and I'd think that skirt was too young for me.

At the same time, I know a girl who's older than me but dresses/looks very young, and she's easily pull off that skirt.

In general I'd say it would suit someone petite or thin.

Kind of feel the same as true-or-false, I'm 23 and would feel too old in that skirt. I see a lot of 13-17 year old girls wearing them.

A darker colour (black or navy?) could look nice, with a shirt or light knit sweater and tights.

24 here, and I'd never wear a skirt like that, it feels way too young for me. The only people I've seen in that style of skirts are young teenagers tbh.

It's a style thing, I think. I'm 34, and there's no way I'd wear that style of skirt. It doesn't align with my normal style.

If it fits with your personal style, then I'd say crack on.

I'm 32 and I would wear that skirt.

I don't think it's something young looking at all. It looks woollen which is a fabric worn by the more mature lady I would have thought.

28 and I'd wear it in a dark colour if it was a bit longer.

I'm 25 and I'd wear it! I'd pair it with tights and a blazer.
I guess it's more what you wear it with that would make it seem young.

    I think it's really cute-I'm 30. Go for it!

I have one just like that in black from New Look (I'm 26). I've gotten a few compliments when I've worn it - from close friends, too, so they'd tell me if I looked ridiculous in it - so if you like it, go for it.

What do these skirts look like on? I must be very old because I don't think I've seen anyone wearing them. Are they in fashion or something

Go for it - just don't wear the top pictured with it! It could easily be dressed up to look "older" and not teenagery.

I think it depends on your shape,as long as your not too big boned or overweight you could look okay in it.

Not that im saying anything against overweight or big boned girls,im a bit big myself(a 14).

You dont want to look like you are carrying anything extra with a skirt and top like that,i think the top exposes your midriff somewhat.

Its just that it is hard to pull off you know.

I personally think there is an age limit you can wear those skirts at,and i would say its 40 and upwards really you should stop wearing cutsey skirts like that then, you would want to go for a more mature demure pencil skirt at 40(not that young girls cant wear them).

Its like when you see a 40+ woman wearing rhinestone sweaters/tracksuits and uggs, trying to look 12 again.

depends on if you have the legs for it

  • Site Banned Posts: 103 ✭✭newsunglasses

Yeah if youre a legs eleven ur definately a winner in that skirt,it is better to look more streamlined especially in a short partial midriff showing top..

I'm in my early 20's and I'd wear it, you'd get good value cause it looks really versatile!

By day you could wear it with tights, pumps and a chunky cardigan and by night with a long sleeved top and heels.

I have one like this in black, I practically live in it!

With a girly flowy skirt like that, it's definitely more to do with your day to day style than your age. I'm 22 and I'd wear it in a heartbeat despite a number of girls earlier in the thread of similar age to me saying they'd find it too young. Depends what suits your personality and general style.

Just from the top of my head, I'd say 25 is the cut-off. I have the legs for it (!) but I still wouldn't wear it ... 10 yrs past 25!

Wear whatever you like and don't be constrained by things like age. If you do feel like it's too 'young' for you, dress it in a different way to what you've seen on younger girls. Think outside the box!

I'm 27 and I'd wear it. I get asked if I'm in college on a regular basis so I assume I look young... hope so anyway!

You can go to college at any age.

    I didn't say you couldn't.
But most people go straight after secondary school.

Nearly 30 and would definately wear that skirt, although with a top tucked in rather than my mid-riff exposed.

Is it not just a normal A-line skirt?
Once you don't wear a belly top with it,it should look fine at any age.
