    Hi Restive,

Elaine Crosse from Bord Bia here. Having checked this with a colleague, they have suggested the following:

Please check the product details to establish whether there is a withdrawal period for meat or milk. Normally a mineral lick or a bolus as described will not have a withdrawal period. However, if the product you are administering (lick, bolus, other product) does have a withdrawal period, the purchase must be recorded (keep the invoice or record the purchase in the Bord Bia Farm Book: Remedies Purchases) and the administration of the product must be recorded either in the DAFM Blue Book, on the Bord Bia Farm Book: Remedies Usage or in a software package. If the product does not have a withdrawal period, it can be recorded in the Bord Bia Farm Book: Feed Purchase.

Should you have any other queries, my colleagues in our Quality Assurance Department are available to assist you on 01 6685155.

Elaine, Perhaps you can explain to me why when I had a recent inspection and all was ok that your inpector told me he could not give 100% a it would have to be reinspectsd. He deducted me because I did not have a script for a worm dose for our cat!!!!

What's the point in being involved if we have to endure this kind of nonsence?

I'm shocked at you delaval, I think your milk should be withheld until your cat, and every other cat in the parish, has at least 2 worm doses :D

    Hi Delaval,

I am unable to answer that query for you as I’m not directly involved in quality assurance. Also, I don’t have the specific details of the audit to share with the relevant team. If you’d like to speak with someone about an issue with a Bord Bia audit or auditor, please call the Quality Assurance Scheme department on 01 6685155 or you can send us an email with the details to info@bordbia.ie and we will follow it up for you.

    Thanks for getting back

I don't mean to be rude but it's not that important to me and I certainly don't want another inspection before the next is due.
