I don't know where it is exactly but there's signs in the stairwell with the rooms on that floor and what direction they're in. 5025 is on the third floor I think. They should have laminated signs pointing to exam centers around the place, if not you can just check the numbers on the doors

Ugh, I had an exam in there the other day (great idea admins, to put a final exam for a science student in an obscure Arts Block room at 9:30 in the morning...).

I went into the arts block and to the stairwell to the left (i.e. the eastward stairwell), went up the stairs until I reached level 5 (it's pretty clear on the signs when you get there), went out the right hand exit onto the floor, continued down the hallway quite a bit, took a left hand turn when I spotted a number room close to 5025 and it was on the left hand side. It turns out this is a pretty long way to go about it, so working backwards from the way I left the centre:

If you take the right hand stairwell (i.e. the stairwell to the west end of the building), and go up to level 5, it should be just on the left hand side of the alcove of rooms just to the left of the stairwell (but because that's the way I left I can't be 100% I'm remembering it right - post exam adrenaline and all that!).

Surely it's on the fifth floor. That's how all of the rooms in the Arts Building work.

I call it the third floor since a lot of people who aren't familiar with the arts block don't release how the floors are numbered, so what seems like it should be the ground floor is actually level 2

I'd presume the admins would expect all students to be able to find a room. Plenty of students have exams in rooms they have never been to before.

Fifth floor, it's somewhere around the Religions and Department. Possibly near the Weingreen Museum.

And rightly so, as I did find the room. Doesn't take away my right to have an off-hand moan about it!

Obviously you'll always have a first time in an exam centre, but I've loads of random centres this year. I went to most of them beforehand to try to remove my anxiety (I never worry about failing exams, but I get awfully anxious about missing them by sleeping in or being at the wrong exam centre), but I forgot room 5025, and while the Arts Block ended up being pretty easy to navigate on the day, when you don't even know where the stairwells are, or that the first number indicates the floor, "room 5025" seems pretty vague. I didn't even know the building had that many floors. However I don't actually blame the admins personally for doing it, I just assumed that an off-hand comment in brackets in a reply to an unrelated post wouldn't attract debate.

And yes, I have noticed that I'm unusually touchy at the moment.
