Why don't chimpanzees get the credit for being the 1st animal to walk on the moon?

How come Lance Armstrong gets all the credit for being the first person to cycle to the moon when it was a chimp who walked there first?

Sure Lance helped the chimp to achieve its feat by supplying him with all sorts of performance-enhancing drugs and chimp growth hormones. Lance made sure he was credited with the achievement, bribing the chimp with a large stack of bananas and setting it up with a female chimp it fancied. The chimp got what he wanted and never said a word to anyone until the truth was revealed last January when Lance let it slip in a drunken state.
