I'm just wondering is it possible to retrofit cruise control to a 2007 1.6tdci focus mk2 van. It's a feature on cars I love and would like to get it if its straight forward. Is it a complicated / expensive job. Tbh if its a big job I could live without it I'm just curious. A picture below of the type of steering on my van I think that can make a difference when putting cruise control on these. Thanks fir the advice.

I know it seems like a big job. I thaught I would just be able to add the controls to my steering wheel. But look like I'd have to buy another steering wheel and start swapping airbags etc sounds like a bit of a pain. I'm not on the motorway a huge amount I suppose 2-300km a week. It would be nice to have it but if its going to be a huge job I could live with out it. I think ill be broke by the time the focus is out of the mechanics I think it was possible for a car to have so much issues but everything that's been done the car needs I seen the problems myself when it was on the lift. So I've decided to spend the money and have it perfect mechanically anyway at least and just keep it for 3-4years.

Well as far as i know you need a Focus Ghia steering wheel which is upwards of 300 quid and a control unit which is guts of another 100 quid and thats before you take into account your time or paying for a professional car electricians time (could take a while if he hasn't tried it before)

For the amount of motorway driving I do it's a feature that certainly wouldn't be worth spending 500 euro plus to have.

Well same here but it would certainly be nice to have with some heated seats and quick clear front windscreen, but we can dream :(

Keep an eye on ebay uk and the ford forums ffoc (link in sig) in particular for the steering wheel. If you have the wires in the column and cruise switch at the foot pedals that's half the job done. Most foci's do have the wiring, so I'd check there first.
