i suppose i7 cause it would be future proof for a long time..... is that a bad assumption?

also id prefer intel over AMD for this build....

i have an AMD rig here but looking for more umph!

it will be used for

gaming, pro tools and some video editing with premiere

AMD vs Intel generally is a load of nonsense. You get what you pay for. And that varies more from model to model rather than from brand to brand.

What will the rig be used for?

You won't be able to won't get a decent gaming and video editing i7 rig for 500 unfortunately.

But if you fill in this form on the first post, we'll see what we can do for the budget

You could get this for about 425, I think it has everything you will need combined with what you already have. There no GPU at the moment although I suspect the Elder Scrolls Online will not be too demanding on graphics, so something as low as a HD7750/7770 for 80-100 euro might well do the job, if that is all you will be really be playing.

If you might be playing more graphically intensive games a really good 1080p gaming GPU would set you back at least 150 euro and upwards.

A non overclockable i7 build works out about the same, but I think the first build would be the way to go. An overclocked i5 will offer greater benefits than the i7s hyperthreading in a far wider range of usage scenarios.

keep in mind also that the http://www.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=59322&agid=1601 is out of stock and has been for 7 days...it was due back in on the 15th of may but hardwareversand now have no idea themselves when they could be back in stock.
as for overclocking and heat dissipation in that case i will leave that to the resident experts here.:-)

well i changed my order to a http://www.hardwareversand.de/DDR3/67918/ASRock+Z77+Extreme3%2C+Sockel+1155%2C+ATX.article
which is 28.25 euros dearer...but that seems out of stock now as well..i think i got the last one:-)..maybe look at one of the z77 gigabyte boards or asus they are probably about 10-20 euros more expensive than your original pick.

what about noise?
