Why do people visit my profile?
On your boards.ie profile page there's a little thing that tells you who the last ten visitors were.
I don't have a clue who any of these people are and I think I have only ever interacted with one of them on this site. It creeps me out, why are people so interested in me? All I do is talk ****e, surely my post history isn't that interesting?

I often click on a name when I'm trying to click on a title or something else.

A few times I've read an interesting post and looked up what else the poster has to say though, but mainly I'm an accidental visitor.

I rarely look at profiles. Last time I did so, it was because a person had posted something dumb, I asked for a follow up, and when a good while had gone, I wanted to see if they had posted elsewhere and likely avoiding responding or if they just rarely post.

Another accidental visitor here....happens a lot with the touch site, but also when I go to click on the little box which bring you to your last point in a thread I sometimes click on the posters name.

Becuase people go through your post history to find any dirt on you, or if they want to know who you are in real life.

Personally I wish post history wasn't something other users could see.

Presumably it's usually done to judge whether someone is worth replying to, or if they're just trolling the fcuk out of the place.

Yeah I've visited a good few by accident when trying to click on threads when on the iPad/iPhone. Off to check mine now to see who's visited me, no doubt by accident too as I'm not the most interesting of posters.

Erm, not sure if you were up to any switch my webcam on sillyness...but just in case...so I was writing in my diary and my pen started leaking... and erm, since it was very warm and no one else was around I thought I'd take the ol' clothes off a bit..because of the heat. Anyway, you probably didn't see the ink spill on to my penis but it did and that's why I was rubbing it so furiously. I didn't get it all off in one go so if you saw me any other time that was the reason for what you saw. So... yeah. There it is. Thanks.

I have often hit a post and by accident hit the persons title. I am using an ipad it's really annoying sometimes but that's how I end up viewing people's profiles. I mean why else would u view it

I have noticed that a user named sabonito seems to have visited a hell of a lot of profiles. Almost 3000 users must have been curious about who they were and why they were been visited and so checked out their profile in return. Are they some kind of bot, perhaps? Whoever you are, please don't hurt us, we mean no harm.

On my phone I'm as likely to click on someones profile as I am to scroll down the page. That or I think a person is a troll so check other posts to see.
