Setup for goldfish in pond

Just looking to see that I have done everything right so far. Any advice gratefully received:

1/ pond was mostly cleaned out (all water removed). Filled with tap water. Still a little cloudy from mud and silt in plant roots and rocks
2/ hoselock filter pump with fountain feature installed. Left running for over 24hrs. Smal shoot of water splashes into pond giving aerated water
    3/ 12 goldfish added
4/ water tested for ammonia- all results good
5/ filterstart bacteria added each day (3 days so far)
6/ 2-3 pellets of feed added to pond each day

All seems ok so far. Fish seem to be at the bottom all of the time, although the pond is only about 1-1.5ft deep so maybe this is normal?

Just checking in case I missed any steps?

    Thanks.

Realistically you need to pump the water into a filter/bio box and the have it re-ehterr the pond.
Something like this will provide the types of filtration you need
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000ULNOAW

Do you have any plants or cover for the fish in the pond?
You'll eventually have a heron or two clean out all the fish.

Yes the pond has rocks which they hide under plus some plants.

    The fountain is this model:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B000G04M6M/ref=mp_s_a_1_20?qid=1368311819&sr=8-20&pi=SL75

This has a filter with stones and sponge, plus a fountain to give a good turn over with bubbles in the water.

Yes also have wire over top to stop birds getting at it!!

    Thanks!

That's a lot of fish to add when the pond hasn't cycled. Do you have a test kit? You need a net to keep herons away. Rocks for the fish to hide aren't enough. Been there and suffered the loses.
