In response to the boardsies positive feedback for my S2000 thread here is another side project of mine.
Iam a traditonal ae86 uk man not jap done uk,iv had a few over the years and am a long term member of ae86irl.

I was on the look out for a minter for quiet some time and when this members car poped up for sale i went for it.
The previous member owned it 13 years!!! in heated storage the last three.and in its time it never wanted for anything.

its gotten 2 new wings,a drivers door, boot lid and bumpers ,lights etc but the quarters and underneath are all orignal and untouched.

has 122,000 miles from day one with a full uk,n ireland and republic service history
Its got all four factory keys,(2 of which are in plastic attached to the owners manual)
i key does all lock, which is pretty rare :D

Its spend the winter in my snug garage but since easter its full systems go with this baby at the minute.what started with keeping my eyes peeled for a few new bits has as usual spiraled out of control to selling a few old part off the car and buying new replacments mostly just for the sake of it.
Thread is a bit all over the place as its pasted from a longer AE86irl.com version
original black cloth interior bar the black limited steering wheel.

Did a full paint correction (Black is stunning it these when kept clean)

just got my car back from carcom in limerick today who fitted a kill switch and a new meta alarm system with two actuators in the doors giving me remote central locking!pretty cool in a 87 uk eh?

Passed its nct first time bar a front left tyre with its rotation back to front.:smug:

passed with its plates as they are on it and its janspeed roaring :lol!:

Thanks to MikeyGTV (and his mum for tea and biscuts )
SC Autoparts in Meath and Brian Geary Toyota Limerick (very helpful but stay well clear of O"Maras)
All parts are brand new genuine Toyota.
a sunroof panel (which joe crash is currently fitting and spraying the whole roof after welding up the hole from the bee sting, hate those things but its probably on it years it was acceptable in the 90s :winks: )

at this point storage was becoming tight with twin cam bit all over my kitchen and garage,
    ae86updateeee016_zps8c443205.jpg

so to keep mrs sweet i balled everything into a corner of my garage :winks:

This is by no means a restoration perhaps a nip and tuck :smiles: but i can honestly say if you had to give a twin cam the works you would restore a ferrari for cheaper. :affraid:

I dont mind ias the car almost drives like new and it will never be sold so i like to give the old girl the best as did the previous owner who never spared the euros in his years of ownership and it really shows.

Much more on the way, deadline is mid June for the Doneygal Rally. :lol!:

    That is class.

One of my all time favourite cars. Cousins boyfriend of the time bought an 87 one in 1989....20,000 miles on it, black and one owner (minister!!)....had it 3 months and let a friend drive it - he rolled it down a bank and wrote it off!!

I hope it gives you years of pleasure - it is immaculate - fair play.

    Beautiful car, man.
I know it's personal but I'd get some pressed plates. :)

    Damn I miss that car.

    Class car, great build thread.

I can't admit to being a huge fan of the AE86, but that's due to its image more than anything else!

    Wow, that's one nice Cam.

I'd love one, couldn't spend the kinda of money on one that's needed to have a good one though.
