help deciding (vw caddy)

    well everyone i just joined this site im just after some advice on a vw caddy.
    im looking to buy a second hand vw caddy (old shape ).
    could any of you give me some advice on common problems to look out for?
    any help would be a great help

    When you say old shape, are you talking about

    thanks for the reply i know there a solid yoke cant go much wrong with vw. but i know there is some things to look out for.one is the turbo on the tdi version. thats only what i hear not from experience.

    Engines are soft-ish in 'em. High mileage ones are inclined to burn oil.

    We have the middle one, 2008, 217k Kms, its a 1.9tdi Maxi. Still flying with no problems at all so thumbs up from me. Might be the same engine as what you are looking at, 105 bhp
